At the beginning of the year, we were approached and asked if we would like to sponsor the Aaron Williams Trust Football Festival. We happily agreed and it has been a great privilege to support a worthy cause.
The Tournament was held over the first 3 weeks of July, laughingly called “Summer”, and experienced some of the worse weather that has been seen in this area in a VERY long time.
The weather didn’t stop the organisers, the tournament went ahead and great time was had by all the teams.
Toolrunner sponsored the Company League section, the first time a Company section had been included in the tournament. Ten local companies entered the competition and the section was played in good humour and sportsmanship.
It took a penalty shoot out to decide the finalist, Scottish Police and JFD hopes and dreams. Scottish Police won the trophy at the Finals Day held at Sunnybank Football Club.
